Trussed Roof Association

The TRA is the respected voice of the trussed rafter and metal web joist industry in the UK and Ireland. As a proud member we are committed to maintaining stringent standards of quality and service as well as setting a professional benchmark for the industry.

Perran Trusses have achieved CE certification for both Trussed Rafters and Metal Web joists. The ensures that the products meet the health, safety and environmental protection standards for products sold within Europe.

MiTek

MiTek specialises in the development of software solutions for structural timber engineering and the provision of steel connector products for our floor and roofing systems. They are industry leading pioneers in the engineered timber sector and therefore are the preferred supplier to Perran Trusses.

ISO 9001

Perran Trusses have achieved full certification for ISO 9001 (Quality) – By far the world’s most established quality framework, which sets the standard not only for quality management systems, but management systems in general. This integrates seamlessly with the company’s ISO 14001 (Environment) and OHSAS 18001 (Health & Safety) certification through Integrated Management. As stated in the company’s Quality Policy, implementation of an on-going management system review and evaluation, including formal internal audits and documented review by senior management ensures that the management system is complied with and that it continues to be suitable and effective, that management system improvement opportunities are identified and implemented and that all applicable legal requirements are complied with as part of this policy.

ISO 14001

Perran Trusses have achieved full certification for ISO 14001 (Environment), an internationally accepted standard for effective Environmental Management System (EMS). The company is committed to preventing pollution, to minimising environmental impacts and to developing a culture of continued environmental improvement. As stated in the company’s Environmental Policy, through the implementation of a management system based on the requirements of BS EN ISO 14001:2004 Perran Trusses will develop specific environmental management procedures to ensure environmental issues are considered at the operational level. In so doing the company will seek to comply with all relevant environmental legislation and where practicable will strive to achieve standards of environmental performance which are better than the minimum legal requirement.

OHSAS 18001

Perran Trusses have achieved full certification for OHSAS 18001 (Health & Safety), the internationally recognised standard for occupational health and safety management systems, providing a framework to identify, control and reduce the risks associated with health and safety in the workplace. As stated in the company’s Health & Safety Statement of Intent, as part of this process Perran Trusses will ensure so far as is reasonable practicable that control of all company activities is maintained at all times by competent people who are trained and informed, who will co-operate with everyone they encounter in their business activities and will maintain effective communication through all levels of the company as required.

PEFC

Perran Trusses is PEFC certified. The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) is an international non-profit, non-governmental organisation dedicated to promoting Sustainable Forest Management (SFM) through independent third-party certification. PEFC UK was established in 2000 and is the member of PEFC International. PEFC International is an umbrella organisation that endorses national forest certification systems developed through multi-stakeholder processes and tailored to local priorities and conditions. PEFC works throughout the entire forest supply chain to promote good practice in the forest and to ensure that timber and non-timber forest products are produced with respect for the highest ecological, social and ethical standards. Thanks to its eco-label, customers and consumers are able to identify products from sustainably managed forests.
