Timber Floor Systems
Productivity, consistency and quality are often seen as mutually exclusive attributes within high volume building environments. Our engineered timber floor systems are specifically designed to eliminate any trade-off between these key objectives.
As one the UK's leading suppliers of innovative, engineered timber products,
Perran Trusses output is characterized by superior strength, rigidity and dimensional stability. this coupled with significant investment in the latest machinery that includes the revolution Posi (Metal web) line capable of producing upward of 1200m per day and Hundegger SC1 saw to enable timber processing through the machine with variances of no more than +/- 2mm ensure accurate manufacture, The floor systems range includes:
- Posi Joists (Metal Web Joists)
- Wood web
- Traditional Timber Joists
In recent years the uptake of engineered timber solutions by our customers has been significant. There is now a well-established track record for the inherent safety, quality and cost-effectiveness of these engineered products that make them highly attractive in environments where productivity, consistency and quality are pre-requisites for performance without compromise.
Posi Joists
Posi Joist timber and steel floors are a viable and increasingly popular alternative structural floor system that takes the advantages of timber and adds a new dimension of flexibility to the construction process.
With manufacturing spans of up to 12 metres and the open web design eliminating the need for time consuming and costly cutting and drilling for the provision of services, the Posi Joist system brings a new perspective to floor truss technology.
Posi Joists are designed to the loading criteria set out in BS6399: Part 1 and Agreement Certificate 88/2100.
Full technical and specification information as well as on-site installation advice and guidance is available.
Wood Webs
ThisĀ system is rapidly playing an extremely important role within the engineered floor market, and another choice for builders to choose from , becoming a popular step up from traditional timber and providing a cost-effective and versatile option to other engineered wood systems, again this system offers unrivalled design and flexibility options.
It is manufactured using low and uniform moisture content timber which alleviates the splitting, warping and twisting problems common to solid timber joists. This is manufactured entirely of easily sustainable structural softwoods with small steel connection plates that is becoming a popular choice for those intending to build a more environmentally considerate building these joists deliver less dimensional change over time than solid joists, due to the width of the surface flanges fixing is easier and allows for use of both glue and screws which would virtually eradicating floor movement and its associated problems, resulting in greater floor performance.
Full technical and specification information as well as on-site installation advice and guidance is available.
Floor Cassette
This prefabricated modular floor system can be used in both traditional and timber framed house building and in non-residential situations.
The system has already been adopted by many of the UK's leading house builders who have found it brings improved productivity, increased operating safety during the construction process.
Another significant spin-off is the instant stability transmitted to the working platform and the consequent major reduction in the overall project erection time - an ideal solution for both residential and non-residential floors and joists.
